We are the Savages!
An unruly bunch is what we are, and trying to become orderly is kind of our mission. Being young parents of two amazing children we are determined to finish school, establish a comfortable home, and still be the best parents we can possibly be.
We started our family much too young (I was 18, hubby was 19), but Isaac was a blessing to us in disguise. He taught us to buck up and accept life for the way it is: hard. Although we have a lot of help from our loving family, we really have tried to become independent. Living on our own has been an adventure in itself, let me tell you!
Hubby and I are both in college still working towards our degrees, and I am a stay at home mommy He’s trying to get a bachelor’s in business and I have decided on an English degree, hopefully going into editing or publishing.
February 2013, I gave birth to another blessing, Kaelyn. Birth control failed us in keeping me from pregnancy, but I like to think of her as a not-planned miracle. Now I feel like all we need is the white picket fence and the dog.
I’m slightly obsessed with “window-internet shopping“. In other words, since I don’t have the money, I just go online and make wishlists of the things I will buy for myself, the house, and our kids whenever I get the money. Pathetic, I know.
There are many different things people will learn from reading my blog as well.
Writing is something I enjoy beyond belief. Even if nobody is going to read what I have to say, the need to write down what I feel about certain things, and just sharing the amazing events that occur, makes me feel whole as a person. As my son has gotten older I’ve been terrified about not recording things down for Isaac and Kaelyn to look back on (and myself, of course). Thus, a blog begins.
